Mitsubishi Philippines denies Outlander phase-out rumor

There's no need to panic

First, the bad news: You might have a tough luck finding a Mitsubishi Outlander in the local market anytime soon.

The recent appreciation of the Japanese yen has made importation of the Mitsubishi Outlander a little too pricey, Mitsubishi Philippines assistant manager for advertising and promotions Arlan Reyes said in a phone interview.

Reyes assures potential Mitsubishi Outlander buyers, however, that the model will not be phased out.

"If we import it now, the price is absurd. We're just waiting for the opportunity to import when the exchange rate is better," Reyes said.

And now for the good news: When Mitsubishi Philippines finally finds the yen at a more appealing rate, we'll be seeing the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander on local roads.
