Motorists who plan on passing White Plains Avenue on Thursday are going to want to take note of this.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that it will be implementing a zipper lane and counterflow traffic scheme along a portion of White Plains Avenue for this year’s EDSA People Power anniversary celebrations on February 25. This will span from the front of Gate 5 of Camp Aguinaldo all the way to EDSA. Look:
Traffic marshals will be deployed to help assist motorists and manage the flow of cars in the area as early as 4am. What’s more, the agency says it will conduct road-clearing operations to rid nearby areas—including Temple Drive and the vicinity of the EDSA People Power Monument—of illegally parked vehicles.
The anniversary program will begin at the EDSA People Power Monument at 8am, so if you’re looking to avoid any hassle whatsoever, you’d best plan your route and schedule accordingly. Will you be spending the EDSA holiday outside your home?
