Another drive-through COVID-19 testing center has popped up, this time in Araneta City. This is great news not just because its location in Quezon City is easily accessible, but also because the testing is done using saliva samples—to the relief of anyone wary of having swabs jammed up their nasal cavities.
The drive-through site is located at the Araneta City bus port along General Romulo Avenue in front of Ali Mall. It will be operational from 9am to 5pm until August 2021, and appointments may be booked via 143.redcross.org.ph.
A test costs P2,000, and the entire procedure is pretty straightforward once you schedule an appointment. Here’s what you need to do after arriving at the testing site:
- Fill out the information sheet.
- Present your confirmation email and proof of payment.
- Present your retrieval code, information sheet, and a valid ID at the encoder’s booth.
- Get a barcode, head to the sample retrieval area, and wait for your turn.
Simple enough, right? Just make sure to check for a confirmation email from the Philippine Red Cross before leaving for the site. From there, all you need to do is wait for your results, which will also be sent via email.
Earlier this month, the Philippine Red Cross opened separate saliva COVID-19 testing sites at SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia. Would you like to see more of these drive-through testing centers pop up across the country?
