Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) has just activated a quick solution for stranded motorists along its expressways: Emergency Roadside Communication System (ERSC) call boxes.

These ERSC call boxes, which have just been installed along the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), enable instantaneous communication between motorists and the CALAX Traffic Operation Center with just the press of a button. They are equipped with a built-in loudspeaker, a camera, and even hearing aids designed for the hearing-impaired.

The operational CALAX ERCS emergency call boxes are currently located at the following locations:

Cavite-bound

  • Emergency shoulder before Laguna Boulevard exit
  • Near lay-by area before Laguna Technopark interchange
