The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) recently began the dry run of the exclusive motorcycle lanes on Commonwealth Avenue. The said run was supposed to end on Sunday, March 19, but the agency has extended it for another week.
The extension will supposedly give the agency more time to inform the public. The agency will also continue repairing the potholes across the thoroughfare.

“We opt to continue the dry run of the exclusive motorcycle lane along Commonwealth Ave. from Elliptical Road to Doña Carmen and vice versa until March 26. In coordination with the DPWH, their patchworks in the area will continue to address the issues on the said road,” said MMDA acting chairman Romando Artes.
So far, the MMDA has apprehended 9,757 motorcycles and four-wheelers from March 9 to 16. Of this total, 7,584 of those were private vehicles and 2,173 were motorcycles. However, the MMDA did point out in its last update that this number was seen to have gone down over the past few days.
