Toll plazas are high-contact areas, which is why cashless transactions are now being encouraged more than ever as people start hitting the road again. You see, unless motorists have RFIDs to pay for their toll fees, physical contact is almost inevitable between motorists and toll tellers.

To promote the usage of these RFIDs for toll payments, the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) has now made its Easytrip RFID stickers available online. These ‘stick-it-yourself’ RFIDs can now be ordered and delivered to your doorstep through Shoppee or Lazada—you only need to pay for the initial P500 load and you’re all set.

The package comes with an Easytrip card along with installation and user guides. If you find it too tricky to do it yourself, you can check out the video below:

The Easytrip RFID can be used along the North Luzon Expressway, NLEX Harbor Link, C5 South Link, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, the Cavite-Manila Expressway, and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway.

Contactless payments truly are part of the new normal, as even the government is strongly urging PUVs to go cashless when using expressways. If you traverse any of the aforementioned tollways regularly but don’t have an RFID yet, this is definitely something you should check out.
