A couple of weeks ago, the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) ordered Grab Philippines to refund P14.15 million to its customers. This was on top of the initial P5.05 million refund that the company dealt with last November. Now, Grab has announced that these amounts will be disbursed starting December 31, 2019. You can check out the official statement below:
For every P1,200 spent on GrabCar rides from February 10 to May 10, 2019 or every P450 spent on the same services from May 11 t o August 10, 2019, a customer is entitled to a P1.00 refund. Take note, however, that this only applies to Grab rides booked within Metro Manila.
If you’re entitled to a refund, you must then have a Grab Premium Wallet to claim it. This can be obtained by registering for a Basic Wallet and completing the KYC process. After this has been completed, you can refer to the My Rewards catalog and redeem the corresponding amount which will then be sent straight to your GrabPay Wallet. You can also refer to the official notice from Grab’s website here.
