LRT-2 will run shorter operating hours from July 27 to August 2

Last trains will leave terminus stations at 7:30pm

Commuters will have to adjust their schedule as the LRT-2 will shorten operating hours next week to give way to maintenance works, its operator said on Twitter.

Commercial operations will start at 5am. However, beginning July 27, the last trains will depart from both ends of the LRT-2 at 7:30pm, the Light Rail Transit Authority said. Regular operations will resume on August 3.

Talking inside trains is still prohibited, and you still need to wear a face mask and submit to temperature checks to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The shortened hours will give way to the installation of power cables between the Pureza and Legarda stations. The LRT-2 stretches from west to east, or from Santolan in Pasig to Recto in Manila.
