The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has had to deal with problems regarding its license-plate production for several years now. But a lot has changed since then thanks to recent developments.
The agency acquired the ‘IDeROBOT’ license plate-making machine last March, which was reportedly able to produce 1.7-million plates in a matter of months. Since then, the LTO has announced that it has caught up with a huge chunk of its backlog from several years ago.
In its latest Facebook post, the agency has provided yet another update on our license plates, which will probably be to the delight of many. This December 2, 2019, the plates of vehicles registered from January to June 2016 will be ready for release. You can check out the official post below:
If your car’s registration falls within the aforementioned timeframe, you can check with your car dealer to confirm the availability of your plates. You can also refer to the LTO website for more information. As for other vehicles registered prior to 2016, we have yet to receive any updates from the agency. Nevertheless, this is good news for many of you car owners out there.
