Today marks what could end up being a historic day in our country’s story. It is, of course, election day, a time when Filipinos across the country and the globe can stand up and have their voices heard at the ballots. In short, it’s no ordinary day, and that means the traffic situation in your area may have also been extraordinary.
The photo above was taken on EDSA northbound near Camp Aguinaldo at 5pm today. Notice anything different? Good luck getting that kind of open space at 5pm on any given weekday. And it wasn’t just on the metro’s main highway that we experienced this, either. Today, our travel time from Ortigas to Mall of Asia took us a mere 30mins in the middle of the afternoon. The only times we found ourselves bumper-to-bumper were at traffic lights.
Of course, we understand that our experience doesn’t speak for the rest of the country. So we turn it over to you now, dear readers. Tell us: how was your traffic experience this election day? Let us know by answering the poll below, and share your thoughts and stories in the comments.
