We all need a helping hand sometimes, especially during a calamity when our safety—and the well-being of our vehicles—is at stake. If you need a place to find shelter, or Wi-Fi to contact your loved ones, or a safe space to park your car while the rain pours, Megaworld is opening up its malls to the public during Typhoon Ompong.
Megaworld explains that the everyone is open to use their lounges, restrooms, Wi-Fi connections, and phone charging stations as needed. And yes, overnight parking fees will also be waived.
On top of making its amenities available, Megaworld is also opening all of its supermarkets, drug stores, 24-hour convenience stores, and McDonald's branches for those who need it.
In case you're not sure which mall you should go to, Megaworld says you can seek refuge at any of the following:
*Southwoods Mall (Biñan, Laguna)
*Eastwood City (Quezon City)
*Venice Grand Canal (McKinley Hill)
*Lucky Chinatown (Binondo)
*Uptown Bonifacio (Taguig)
By our count, there are now four of the country's major mall developers (SM, Robinsons, Ayala, and now Megaworld) opening up their facilities to the public. Great job, guys. Stay safe and dry, everyone.
