CAR MODELS IN THIS ARTICLE Philippine Car News - Lexus Manila prices updated LS over P300,000 more than pre-facelift model

Lexus Manila is set to launch this evening the refreshed LS, which the Japanese luxury car brand first revealed in August.

With the new LS460L priced at P7.388 million for the five-seat variant and P8.378 million for the four-seater unit, this means the refreshed model's variants cost P330,000 and P320,000 more than their counterparts from the pre-face-lift model.

We asked Lexus Manila's marketing services officer, Carlo Chungunco, what updates the new LS received for Lexus Manila to be able to justify the P300,000-plus premium over the previous model. According to him, these features include a new 12.3-inch LCD screen "that is the biggest ever in a car" and a new interior design to mirror those of the GS and the ES.

"New remote touch interface and new features abound inside and out, including the noise-absorbing wheels and LED lighting plus the Blu-ray player and Nano-e air humidifier," Chungunco added.

Together with the other new features that Lexus announced would come with the updated LS--like a blind spot monitor, a pre-collision systems, increased body rigidity, new-frequency shock absorbers, improved steering, adjusted brakes, and Drive Mode Select that "allows the driver to choose from three drive settings (Eco, Normal and Sport)"--we guess the price increase is justified.
