A new player has entered the Philippine racing scene, as AutoPerformance Motorsport's team—composed of manager EZ Ligaya, chief engineer Jun Magno, and racers SJ Park, Stefan Ramirez, Francis Aguila, Enrique Hormillo and George Apacible—was introduced over the weekend during the 2018 Trans Sport Show in Pasay City.
The team's first race will be on June 12, 2018 during the 12-hour Philippine endurance challenge at the Clark International Speedway. Auto Performance Motorsport's second outing will be in December during the 8-hour endurance challenge.
Present during the introduction at the Victor's Hardware booth was the team's BMW M3 E36, one of the eye-catchers of this year's Trans Sport Show. But team member Francis Aguila says they hope to have two cars up and running before the end of the year.
Aguila also thanked their sponsors—including Brembo, Aguila Auto Glass, Yale Hardware, Atlas Real Estate and Rota wheels—for helping the team come together, as well as all of those involved for their continued support.
When it comes to Philippine motorsports, it's always the more the merrier. Good luck, guys!
