Michele Bumgarner has laid out her plans for 2013 in preparation for a full season in the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship (Road To Indy) series.
In August, Bumgarner hopes to run at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and the Circuit Trois-Rivieres, followed by the 2013 calendar\'s last race in October at Reliant Park Houston. Bumgarner has also lined up some test schedules in a Pro Mazda Formula car in the near future.
Besides her planned run in the last three races of the Pro Mazda Championship this year, Bumgarner is also eyeing the possibility of competing in the last three legs of the Formula Car Challenge--another Mazda-powered race series--scheduled at the Sonoma Raceway from August to October this year.
Helping Bumgarner out in the United States is her management team, Nash Performance, which will determine the best testing schedules and the right Pro Mazda team affiliation for her entry in 2014 as a full competitor.
\"Whichever option Michele decides to participate in for 2013 will be focused on preparing her to be ready for a full racing season in 2014 when she will compete in the Pro Mazda Championship throughout North America,\" said Michele\'s father and manager, Lee Bumgarner.
Michele has just secured a sponsorship deal from Mazda Philippines, which will provide her with not just financial backing but also logistic and publicity support.
