Professional motorcycle rider John McGuinness is a veteran at the Isle of Man TT races, having first joined the event in 1996 and his first win coming three years later in the 250cc class. Well, that changed at the 2014 Isle of Man TT race as he not only finally took the TT Zero title but also set a record-breaking time of 19 minutes and 17.3 seconds with an average speed of 189kph on an all-electric Mugen Shinden motorcycle.

That, however, still pales in comparison with the outright Isle of Man TT lap record of 17 minutes and 11.6 seconds--with an average speed of 212kph--which McGuinness set last year on a Honda CBR1000RR.
