Just like that and we're already on the eighth installment of Ken Block's Gymkhana video series. And this time, the popular drift and rally driver has chosen Dubai to be his "ultimate exotic playground."
The sight of Block's Ford Fiesta smoking its Toyo tires is not the most impressive spectacle in the video. That honor belongs to said Fiesta coming within an inch or two of the supercars of the Dubai Police. (Remember those?) Other than that, the stunts are simply more of the same. Take away all the drifting and the video actually feels like a promotional film produced by Dubai's tourism department.
It's still cool to watch, though. Especially since it's the Fiesta's last appearance in the Gymkhana series. For the ninth episode, Block will be piloting the Focus RS RX. Well, at least that's how we understand the phrase "COMING SOON TO GYMKHANA NINE" flashed at the end of the video.
