Shell Eco-marathon Asia bagged an Anvil Award of Merit under the Public Relations Programs Category of the 47th Anvil Awards staged by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP).
To bag the prestigious award, Pilipinas Shell's entry bested a total of 283 entries received by the PRSP. Pilipinas Shell collaborated with marketing communications company Strategic Works Inc. in implementing the Shell Eco-marathon Asia public relations campaign for Team Philippines. Shell Eco-marathon is Shell's flagship program on fuel efficiency, which debuted in Asia in July 2010.
A unique car marathon that measures distance rather than speed, the Shell Eco-marathon Asia presents an opportunity for Filipino engineering students and their Asian counterparts to not only apply their knowledge and skill in creating innovative and fuel-efficient vehicles but to also promote the message of energy efficiency and smarter mobility.
