Pilipinas Shell has finally found the Philippines' most fuel-efficient motorists who will represent the country in the oil company's search for Asia's Smartest Drivers at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from July 8 to 10.
The country's bets in the competition are Sandre Roque, a fresh graduate from Cagayan de Oro City, and Don Eleazer Balboa, a web publisher from Antipolo City. They will compete with other 'smartest drivers' from various countries in Asia for a chance to win a brand-new car.
Roque and Balboa bested eight other finalists in Shell's search for the 'smartest' Filipino drivers at a recent fuel-efficiency boot camp. Pilipinas Shell started the competition by soliciting videos where motorists share fuel-saving tips. Videos were uploaded on TopGear.com.ph.
Other finalists in the video search were: Noli Untalan, Aldrin Balderas, Mark Daniel Martin, Adrian Law, Jamielyn Ira Dy, Jeremy Go, Eduardo Bautista and Marco Rivera. Finalists each received fuel cards worth P10,000 and an exclusive Shell jacket. (Senders of non-winning videos will also receive an exclusive Shell jacket. Please wait for the advisory on when and where you may claim your prize.)
