If you’re the type of person who loves going on road trips—and who doesn’t?—then you might want to consider getting an app that will help you with many of your road trip needs.

MPT DriveHub is a new app designed to be the ultimate virtual companion for drivers and passengers. Developed by Metro Pacific Tollways Corp.—which constructed and manages expressways like NLEX, CAVITEX, CALAX, and SCTEX—the app is for those who use the expressways regularly, particularly those who have RFID installed in their vehicles.

The app is packed with features that are essential for most motorists. You can check your balance on your RFID account and top up when you need to. The load is credited almost instantly so you won’t need to worry even if you’re already on your way. You can also compute how much you have to pay in toll fees so you’ll know exactly how much you’ll need even before you leave the house. It’s the only app that helps motorists compute the total fees from entry to exit if you’ll use NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, or CALAX to get to your destination.

MPT DriveHub also has real-time traffic updates so you’ll know what the situation is on the route you’re planning to take, as well as a gas station, pit stop, and restroom locator for those all-important snack and bathroom breaks. Finally, the app has a one-tap button that will call for help in the event of emergencies. These features will certainly come in handy during the summer months when many motorists are going on road trips.

“Mobility is not just about moving from point A to point B. It’s about the entire experience of having safety, ease, confidence, and convenience,” said MPT Mobility Vice President for Business Development and MPT DriveHub Head Mark Richmund M. De Leon during the app’s launch. “Traveling today should be more than just the destination, it should also be about the journey. We should all be able to enjoy the road and say, 'Sarap ng biyahe!'.”

Motorists that use MPTC’s road network like NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX and CALAX can now use the app and it will soon be available for those who will use the upcoming Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

If you’re already planning your summer getaway, you should go ahead and add MPT DriveHub to your road trip checklist now. It’s already available for download on iOS and Android devices.
