Adidas has just released a new design of the Adizero EVO SL, and JDM fans will approve. The Great Wave off Kanagawa colorway, inspired by the iconic ukiyo-e piece by Katsushika Hokusai, features stunning waves and a pink sunset across the three stripes, contrasted with either an all-gray or all-blue color scheme for the rest of the shoe.
This design is exclusively available in Japan through the Adidas Confirmed app or Atmos retail stores. If you want to lace these up, you’ll either have to cop them while visiting the Land of the Rising Sun or call a friend to help you ‘pasabuy.’

As for sizing, these should fit the same as other EVO SL colorways. So either base your size on the available charts, or better yet, visit an Adidas store and try a pair to make sure you get the perfect fit.

The EVO SL is dubbed a lightweight ‘super trainer.’ It has become a fan favorite among serious and casual runners alike, and it’s not hard to see why. The Lightstrike Pro foam—the same one used in the more expensive, race-day-specific Adios Pro—plus its durable Continental rubber outsole makes this shoe a seriously good choice for daily training and tempo workouts.

So, how much does it cost? The EVO SL Great Wave off Kanagawa has a price tag of JPY19,800 (around P7,687) on both the Adidas Japan and Atmos Tokyo websites. That’s the same price as the regular EVO SL colorways, not bad. Would you want these kicks in your running-shoe rotation?
