Forza Motorsport 5 coming for new Xbox One video-game console

A few days ago, Sony Computer Entertainment and Polyphony Digital announced that Gran Turismo 6--the latest installment of the popular driving-simulation franchise--will go on sale later this year for the PlayStation 3 and not the upcoming PlayStation 4 as had been rumored previously.

Perhaps to steal the thunder generated by this announcement, Microsoft has also revealed that Forza Motorsport 5, the next installment in the series that rivals Gran Turismo in terms of gameplay (if not popularity), will be one of the games available when its next-generation gaming console, the Xbox One, goes on sale this year.
