Attention Gran Turismo 7 fans, the latest update has arrived, and it brings new features, new circuits, and of course, new cars. Making its first appearance in the franchise is BYD, through its fully electric hypercar, the Yangwang U9.
The April update will also include the rare and extremely lightweight Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (964), as well as the Renault Twingo, an A-segment hatchback loved by so many in Europe.

Before you comment, no, this isn’t the 496kph, world record-breaking Yangwang U9 Xtreme. This is the standard U9. It features an AWD system with four electric motors delivering a combined output of 1,300hp and 1,680Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100kph in 2.36sec and has a top speed of 309kph. These numbers may be far from its ‘XTreme’ sibling, but they’re no slouch, either. The U9 enters Gran Turismo 7 with a PP658 rating.

For Wangan Midnight fans, you might know this next car as the second incarnation of Tatsuya Shima’s Blackbird. The Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (964) is a lightened version of the standard 911 Turbo S of its generation. It has a twin-turbo flat-six engine producing 375hp and 490Nm of torque. The 911 Turbo S Leichtbau has a rating of PP567.

Last but not least is the beloved Renault Twingo. Gran Turismo calls it a ‘breath of fresh air’ for the A-Segment. The quirky city car has a 1.2-liter inline-four engine making 54hp and 93Nm of torque, combined with a weight of only 790kg. The Twingo makes its debut with a PP284 rating.
You can get any of these three cars with Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.69, released to the public on April 23, 2026. Which one of these would you drive next? Let us know in the comments.
