Metro Manila can be an intimidating place to traverse on two wheels. Remember: The dangers of everyday motoring are multiplied when you’re rolling around minus the safety of a well-constructed metal shell and airbags.
This is why we hope Yassi Pressman, who’s taken to Instagram to share her affinity for a bright yellow Vespa, remembers to be wary of inattentive drivers while on the go. Though frankly, we think most motorists would need to be blind to fail to spot the Ang Probinsyano star on the road.
The scooter pictured above appears to be a Vespa Sprint 150. The Sprint is a relatively popular two-wheeler for those with a substantial budget (it costs P205,000), thanks to its attractive retro styling and great maneuverability. It runs on a 154.8cc motor capable of 12hp and 12.7Nm of torque. The yellow paint finish only adds to the bike’s old-school appeal.
Judging by her post, Pressman appears to have named her ride ‘Bumblebee,’ too. Fitting. She also mentions the other bike in the photo—a sweet café racer named ‘Chili.’
Nice to see Pressman isn’t afraid to get out on two wheels from time to time. Of course, for places like EDSA, she can always sit back and relax inside here Manila-proof Hyundai H350.
