Almost a month after the 2020 Suzuki GSX-R125 was launched in Japan, the lightweight sport bike is now available with MotoGP livery.

The reveal of the GSX-R125 MotoGP edition is in line with the company’s 100th anniversary this year. The new body styling is based on Team Suzuki Ecstar’s latest GSX-RR MotoGP race bike that features a combination of blue and silver colors. This latest offering brings the total number of color options available for the 2020 model to four: Triton Blue Metallic, Brilliant White, Titan Black, and the MotoGP livery.

Other than the new livery, all the features of the standard GSX-R125 launched last May remain unchanged in this MotoGP edition. At the heart of the smallest GSX in the lineup sits a 124cc DOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled powerplant with a fuel-injection system. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, this engine generates 15hp at 10,000rpm and 11Nm of torque at 8,000rpm.

The GSX-R125’s advanced electronic fuel injection system delivers fuel based on the rider’s throttle input, in addition to info from sensors monitoring the bike’s revs, temperature, intake air pressure, coolant temperature, and exhaust oxygen content. Tipping the scales at 135kg, some of the bike’s key features include an LED taillamp, clip-on handlebars, and a fully digital instrument cluster with a gear-position indicator.
