Yup, you read that right. Kawasaki has launched not one, but two big-bore two-stroke dirt bikes. The KX327 and KX327X will be the newest additions to the brand’s motocross/cross-country line, and will be the largest two-stroke motorcycles you can buy in the segment when they launch later this year.

The KX327 is Kawasaki’s stiffer motocross-focused bike, while the KX327X is its more comfortable cross-country twin. Both bikes get a 327cc fuel-injected two-stroke engine with selectable power modes. The KX327 features a five-speed close-ratio manual transmission, while the KX327X gets a six-speed manual transmission with an ultra-low first gear. Both of them come with hydraulic clutches as standard.

Both share a lightweight aluminum frame based on the KX450F. Stopping power comes courtesy of Nissin brakes with 270mm discs at the front and 240mm at the rear. Kawasaki’s Ergo-Fit components provide riders with adjustable ergonomics featuring two footpeg positions and reversible bar mounts with four positions for the Renthal Fatbar handlebar.

The KX327 is fitted with Excel 21-inch rims at the front and 19-inch rims at the back, wrapped in Dunlop Geomax MX34 tires, while the KX327X features 21-inch rims in the front and 18-inch rims in the back with Dunlop Geomax AT82 tires.

The suspension on the KX327 is made up of a 48mm KYB high-performance coil spring fork tuned for smooth action and firm damping, and a fully adjustable KYB rear shock with the new Uni-Trak system tuned for lightweight agility and straight-line stability. Meanwhile, the KX327X features a similar 48mm KYB high-performance fork, but with internal valves tuned for medium-speed technical terrain and flowing high-speed sections. The rear suspension is a KYB shock tuned for ride comfort and long hours on the course.

Other features include ride-mode selection and smartphone connectivity through the Rideology app. The latter lets you record trips, set off-road track maps, track lap times, and analyze speed, gear position, and engine RPM habits. There’s also real-time engine telemetry to monitor your intake and coolant temperature.

Both bikes are set to launch later this year in North America, priced at $9,099 (P559,388 before taxes) for the KX327 and $9,699 (P596,275 before taxes) for the KX327X. It’s still too early to say whether or not these 2027 models will make it to the Philippines, but if they do, it’ll sure be a lot of fun.
