In recent years, Royal Enfield has proven that it can build hip bikes just like any other brand. Bright colors, striking designs—the Indian manufacturer has rolled out plenty of these in its newer models.
The latest addition to this growing portfolio of modern classics is this new limited-edition Classic 650. Formally, it’s called *deep breath* the Royal Enfield 125th Anniversary Edition Hypershift Classic 650. Phew.

This new model celebrates—you guessed it—Royal Enfield’s 125th year. Only a handful will be produced. You probably tried to guess it, but you might have gotten it wrong: there’ll only be 625 examples globally. The Asia Pacific Region, though, gets an allocation of 125 units, a number more apt for the occasion.

In case you were wondering, the ‘Hypershift’ in the name comes from that special color-changing finish. Royal Enfield describes it as “a stunning, shade-shifting alchemy of heritage and modernity that blends 125 years of Pure Motorcycling into one singular machine.”
Apart from the new looks, it stays true to its roots; mechanically, it sees no modifications. This is still powered by a 648cc air-cooled, parallel-twin that churns out 46.3hp and 52.3Nm and still gets as minimal aids as it did before.
“How much is it? How can you get one?” Good questions, but you might not be too happy with the answers. Only five units have been allocated to the Philippines, and you can register to place an order only until October 27, 2026. Locally, it comes with a P492,000 price tag. It isn’t too expensive, which is why it’s a bummer it won’t be widely available.
Anway, over to you, RE fans: Would you get one of these if you had the chance? Big emphasis on “if.”
