The Suzuki Burgman just did 94.6km/L in a fuel-economy run

That’s for the Standard trim—the EX variant did 76.52km/L

Suzuki has always taken pride in its little scooter, the Burgman Street, and its impressive fuel economy. Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines recently put the scoot and those claims to the test in a series of fuel economy runs.

There was one leg each for Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with the Luzon leg being the last of the three. It was also in this leg where Suzuki recorded the best fuel economy for the Burgman Street at a whopping 94.6km/L for the standard variant and 76.52km/L for the EX trim. The best numbers in Visayas were 93.7km/L and in Mindanao were 84.4km/L.

The Luzon leg kicked off at the Suzuki Antipolo Motorcycle City 3S Shop and ended at the Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel in Lucban, Quezon. The route consisted of dense city streets with a good mix of twisties and up-and-down roads across Rizal and Laguna all the way towards Quezon.

Taking the victory in the Standard category was Ariosto Franco (94.56km/L). He was followed closely in second by Jerome Tariol who got 94.45km/L. Bagging third place was Danilo Insigne who got 88.39km/L.

In the EX category, Ferdie Santiago (76.52km/L) came out on top. Coming in at close second and third were Jesie Salagos with 74.57km/L and Orlando Navarro with 73.33km/L, respectively.
