You’ve probably been seeing a lot of the Yamaha PG-1—the Japanese motorcycle brand’s quirky little trail bike—on social media over the past few months. There’s been a lot of talk about its upcoming launch in our market, but Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) hasn’t confirmed anything. Not until now, that is.
YMPH has finally put out official teasers for the PG-1’s launch. It will be happening this Friday, May 24, and will be streamed live on the YMPH Facebook page at 7pm. Mark your calendars, people.

Following that launch, YMPH will be holding the Yamaha Explorer’s Camp at the Bridgetowne Open Grounds in Pasig City on Saturday, May 25 at 3pm. This event will be open to the public, and YMPH has confirmed that there will be a flat track (presumably for test rides) as well as other activities in store for visitors.
Sadly for us, YMPH has yet to confirm any prices or specs for the upcoming PG-1, so we’ll all have to wait until Friday for that. But seeing as this is one of the most anticipated Yamaha models of this year, we’re sure you guys wouldn’t mind sitting on your hands for a few more days for this one.
