The Philippine National Police (PNP) said three suspected members of a carjacking syndicate were arrested during an entrapment operation conducted on May 24 in Parañaque City.

Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina, director of the PNP Highway Patrol Group (HPG), identified the arrested suspects as Elmer Marcelo, Ernesto Reyes and Nolan Nacional.

The PNP-HPG authorities said they have yet to determine the carjacking group where the three suspects belonged.

Espina added that the three suspects were nabbed while selling a stolen Toyota Fortuner with plate number ZJJ-330 whose owner was identified as Elizabeth Miranda.

Police reports also said that the suspects did not resist arrest.
