With the James Bond film franchise celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, auction house Christie's will be holding an auction on October 5 that will exclusively feature 50 memorabilia from the archives of Eon Productions, the production company behind the widely successful series.
Leading the auction is the 2008 Aston Martin DBS V12 used in the opening sequence of Quantum Of Solace. Driven by Daniel Craig as James Bond, the car was involved in a high-speed car chase around Lake Garda in Italy.
"Christie's is excited to be working directly with Eon Productions to present this unique auction to mark the 50th anniversary of James Bond," said Christie's director Nicolette Tomkinson. "With memorabilia offered from every official Bond film ever made, the auction is sure to appeal to new and established fans of the famous British spy. James Bond is much-loved by a truly international fan base, and we hope to make memorabilia from the 23 Bond films accessible to all. A broad spectrum of prices will be covered within the auction, with online lots selling without reserve and bids starting at only £50 (around P3,330)."
Christie's expects the DBS to fetch between £100,000 (P6.66 million) and £150,000 (P9.99 million).
