Asian Carmakers Corporation, the official distributor of BMW vehicles in the Philippines, has donated a hectare of land at the Mount Palay-Palay National Park in Maragondon, Cavite as part of its corporate social responsibility program.

The land will be used for reforestation and for the care of indigenous species in partnership with De La Salle University’s Green for Life: One Million Trees and Beyond.

“The Green for Life: One Million Trees and Beyond Project serves to provide a venue for more proactive responses to environmental issues through tree-planting activities,” Asian Carmakers said in a statement. “The goal is to plant and nurture one million trees by the year 2011.”

More than 700,000 trees have been planted in various Green for Life sites nationwide. Learn more about the One Million Trees and Beyond project by clicking this link.
