Aston Martin may have relaunched the Virage nameplate at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show with an all-new model, but the British carmaker is reportedly axing it after selling just over 1,000 units in the less than two years it has been in production.
According to CarsUK.net, Aston Martin believes that buyers feel the 490hp Virage is not enough of an upgrade from the 470hp DB9.
In response to the Virage's demise, Aston Martin will supposedly give the DB9 more power and a new, more aggressive styling that's reminiscent of the Virage but not so much that it will eat into the 565hp Vanquish's sales.
