Ayala to Buendia closed 'indefinitely'
Jan 25, 2011

Authorities have closed the north-bound side of Edsa that stretches from Ayala Avenue to Buendia Avenue--both in the vicinity of a central business district in the Philippines--following a bus explosion that left two people dead and 15 injured.

Initial reports said the blast was caused by an explosive device inside Newman Goldliner Bus, which was traveling from Baclaran in Parañaque to Fairview in Quezon City.

"The area has been secured and investigators are at the scene," Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said in a statement issued at 4 p.m.
