When a carmaker that’s known for making some of the world’s most exquisite grand tourers claims one of its newest models as being ‘the ultimate Super GT,’ you know you’d better sit up and pay attention. So when Aston Martin Manila unveiled the Vanquish S recently at an event in Powerplant Mall, we were all ears.
First, the important numbers. The Vanquish S sports a 6.0-liter V12 mill that produces a dizzying 580hp and reaches a top speed of 323kph. This is paired to an eight-speed Touchtronic III transmission. Performance-wise, it can reach 100kph in a mere 3.5 seconds.
The Vanquish S's elegant yet sporty styling is thanks in no small part to carbon fiber. It features an aerodynamic design that includes a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, which help to improve high-speed stability. This is topped off with a set of sleek quad-exhaust pipes. Inside, the car is pure luxury, with lots of carbon fiber and leather, as well as a Bang & Olufsen audio system and satellite navigation.
“I am pleased to officially introduce the new Vanquish S, and we very much look forward to see the new flagship Aston Martin being driven on the streets of Manila,” said Aston Martin Manila president and chairman Marc Tagle.
