This year, we\'ve seen online photos of over-the-top police cars in Dubai, including a Ferrari and a Lamborghini. We don\'t really know if those cars really see action, or if they\'re just for promotional purposes. Still, it tickles our fancy: Wouldn\'t it be nice to chase the bad guys in ultra-fast supercars?
Turns out it tickles the fancy of Brabus, too, as the popular tuning company has come up with the Brabus B63S-700 Widestar Dubai Police Car based on the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. And while the standard 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine produces \"just 544hp,\" this Brabus police car pumps out a crime-busting 700hp.
\"This initiative is welcomed by the forces of law and order, which is why the Dubai Police will also use the Brabus-upgraded G-Class from Mercedes-Benz to do duty on the streets of the city,\" Brabus says in a press statement.
Thanks to the tweaked engine, the all-wheel-drive police SUV can reach a top speed of 240kph, sprinting from zero to 100kph in 4.9 seconds. Question is: What if the bad guys are driving a Nissan GT-R Spec V?
The Brabus B63S-700 Widestar Dubai Police Car is currently on display at the ongoing Dubai International Motor Show, which runs until tomorrow, November 9.
