It’s March and the heat is literally on. For those of us covering the automotive industry, this means motor show season is upon us. This month we’ll be covering the Bangkok International Motor Show, and next month the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) is happening from April 4 to 7, 2024. Being one the premier motor shows in the country, MIAS will be the launch pad for several new car models, and even new car brands.

At a recent press luncheon, Changan Auto Philippines (CAP) announced that it is introducing the CS15 subcompact crossover at MIAS. It’s a small vehicle, about the size of a Geely GX3. Naturally, it’s powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that produces—according to its official website—170hp. A five-speed manual or automatic gearbox transfers that power to the front wheels.

Being a smaller car, the CS15 should slot in below the Changan CS35 Plus. We predict sub-P1 million prices as well. We asked if the EV variant of the CS15 is coming, and we were told there are no immediate plans yet.

CAP did say it plans to hold a media preview before MIAS, so that more details and information about the CS15 can be shared. But if you want to see it in the metal, you’ll have to wait a month.
