Diesel-powered variants of Tata Manza, Vista now available in the Philippines

Pilipinas Taj Autogroup, the official distributor of Tata vehicles in the country, has spiced up the competition in the diesel-powered subcompact hatchback/sedan segment. Launching the Tata Vista Ignis 1.3L and Manza Aura 1.3L at its showroom in Cainta, Rizal, the Indian carmaker announced the prices to be P678,000 for the hatchback (Vista) and P738,000 for the sedan (Manza).

At such price points, what do consumers get? Both are powered by a 1.3-liter Quadrajet diesel engine and come with a five-speed manual gearbox. The cars get front fog lamps and three-barreled headlamps. The Vista Ignis hatch delivers 74hp at 4,000rpm, and 190Nm at 1,750-3,000rpm. Meanwhile, the Manza Aura has 89hp at 4,000rpm, and 200Nm at 1,750-3,000rpm.

Now let's take a peek inside the new cars. The driver information system is integrated into the car's center instrument cluster. Both cars have steering wheel-mounted audio controls. The Manza Aura has a one-touch power-window control, while the Vista Ignis has front and rear power windows. Both cars are also equipped with the following safety features: dual airbags, ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, and a collapsible steering column.

The Vista Ignis and the Manza Aura are available in Cavern Gray, Porcelain White, Jet Silver, Spice Red and Infinity Black body colors.
