Hyundai has revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show the updated Elantra, giving it a host of extensive design upgrades and creating a Sport model that comes with a powerful gasoline direct-injection engine.
The updated Elantra has new front and rear fascias (with a redesigned bumper that houses equally redesigned foglights), projector headlights with LED accents, driver\'s blind-spot door mirrors, LED taillights, and a two-tone rear diffuser.
Inside, the Elantra now boasts a more upscale feel, thanks to the relocation of the center-stack air-conditioning vents, new dual-dial air-conditioning controls, a taller center armrest, and a new transmission selector with leather boot.
A new 2.0-liter Nu GDI engine is packed under the hood of the all-new Elantra Sport model, with an output of 173hp and 209Nm. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, the Elantra Sport has a claimed fuel mileage of 10.203km/L in the city and 14.88km/L on the highway.
