In limbo since its introduction at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, the Lamborghini Urus is finally going into production, according to the Italian carmaker's chief executive officer, Stephan Winkelmann.
According to AutoNews.com, Winkelmann made the revelation when asked about the SUV during the opening of a new Lamborghini showroom in Tokyo last week.
"We're going low-profile now," Winkelmann added during the interview. "I can't tell you much about the details now, but when we get close to the launch, we will have more."
If the Urus really goes into production, it will be Lamborghini's first SUV in over 20 years since it discontinued the LM002 in 1993.
