Suzuki Auto Philippines has just unveiled more details about its upcoming subcompact crossover. Slated for an official release in the coming months, the 2025 Suzuki Fronx will introduce a new mild-hybrid powertrain to the local market, as well as the latest version of Suzuki Safety Support—the brand’s advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).
The latter will be fitted in the higher variant, or the Fronx SGX, which will probably fetch a higher price tag. It will be crucial for the Fronx to remain competitive, as its main adversaries, the Kia Sonet and the Toyota Raize, both have multiple variants—with select ADAS features—priced at under P1 million.

If the price is right, the Fronx SGX may just have one of the most comprehensive ADAS suites in its segment, offering adaptive cruise control, dual-sensor brake support, lane departure assists, rear-crossing traffic alerts, and more. It will also come with a head-up display and a wireless charging pad. Suzuki hasn’t confirmed what features will be offered in other variants, but the 360-degree cameras will be retained.

As for the engine, the Fronx will be powered by the 1.5-liter K15C Dualjet, with the ‘Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki’ (SHVS) system. The K15C Dualjet is a first for the Philippines, but based on previous international models, the engine itself makes 103hp and 137Nm of torque—similar to the Ertiga and XL7 hybrid vehicles. Documents from the Land Transportation Office then suggest the powertrain will be mated to a four-speed automatic.
Reservation slots will open on August 20, 2025, but no date has been given for its official launch.
