TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Chevrolet Colorado goes on Discovery Channel

If you want to know more about the Chevrolet Colorado, all you need to do is switch the channel on your cable TV to Discovery Channel. The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCCI), Chevrolet's Philippine-market distributor, now has a four-part feature series about the pickup truck airing on said cable channel.

Called The Chevrolet Colorado - Power-up Series, the four one-and-a-half-minute features give the viewers a glimpse of the key features of the American carmaker's latest pickup. Shot in Mt. Minalungao National Park in Nueva Ecija, the Colorado was subjected to several tests that demonstrate its unique and powerful capabilities.

The first video illustrates the Colorado's impressive power, torque and durability with its one-ton payload and 3.5-ton towing capability in addition to its large cargo bed and 25 storage areas inside the cabin.

The second feature highlights the Colorado's 2.8-liter Duramax diesel engine and its best-in-class 180hp and 470Nm of torque output provided by its variable geometry turbocharger and common-rail direct-injection system (not to mention its graphite-coated pistons that reduce friction and power losses).

The third installment focuses on the Colorado's high stance and remarkable suspension that give it a ground clearance of 270mm and a water-wading capability of 800mm, and its eight-crossmember-ladder configuration that makes it extremely tough.

The fourth and final episode trumpets the pickup truck's exterior and interior attributes by exhibiting its rugged exterior looks and comfortable interior features.

The Chevy Colorado - Power-up Series can be seen on Discovery Channel during prime-time hours as well as on the vehicle's official Philippine website (www.chevroletcolorado.com.ph).
