Sales of the previous-generation Chevrolet Spark were tepid at best, but the people behind Chevrolet Philippines believe things are about to change following the launch of its all-new version.
Chevrolet Philippines expects to sell 30 units of the all-new Spark every month this year.
According to Bel Laureola, marketing services manager of Chevrolet Philippines, the company even hopes "to exceed that goal as the mini passenger car market is expected to eventually appreciate the Chevy Spark's values such as fuel efficiency, dependability and attainable mobility."
Chevrolet believes the Spark is one of its most fuel-efficient cars as it can run up to 22km with just one liter of fuel. With the expected series of oil price hikes and the political turmoil in the Middle East, Filipinos will most likely be out looking for the most economic cars to drive. Does this mean Chevrolet Philippines may even exceed its target?
The all-new Spark was launched just last month. Aside from fuel economy, it also offers a bigger cabin space, and a more powerful engine.
"Through this, we hope to positively affect the lives of the Filipino market," Laureola said.
