The Covenant Car Company, also known as Chevrolet Philippines, remains on the growth track with sales driven by the five-door Spark mini hatch.
Chevrolet Philippines ended the January-to-August period with sales higher by 26.9 percent versus the same months last year when the company sold only 1,222 units.
Last month alone, Chevrolet Philippines said growth in sales stood at 53 percent from only 171 units sold in August 2010. The company said Chevrolet Spark sales in August 2011 reached 116 units.
Chevrolet Philippines said the company also continues to enjoy the impact of the 2010-2011 Philippine Car of the Year award bagged by the Cruze.
With its current portfolio, Chevrolet Philippines is confident the brand will continue to gain the trust of Filipino motorists.
"We have a strong base of quality products, like the Spark, Cruze and Captiva that automobile-lovers have seen fit to try and ultimately put their confidence in," said Atty. Albert Arcilla, Chevrolet Philippines chief operating officer and managing director. "We intend to capitalize on that by making sure people know that we welcome their business and we are more than ready to provide them a great ownership and customer-service experience with world-class products we have on offer."
Moving forward the Covenant Car Company is set to open three new Chevrolet dealerships this September--Chevrolet Greenhills-EDSA (showroom and service), Chevrolet North EDSA (showroom and service) and Chevrolet Otis-Manila (showroom). In Cebu, Chevrolet is temporarily housed at the Pasajero Building, A. S. Fortuna street, Banilad, Mandaue City. Chevrolet Philippines will have 17 dealers nationwide by the end of the year.
