DPWH advisory: Road works from March 9 to 12

Know which roads to avoid

Motorists and the general public are advised to expect traffic on some of the metro's streets as the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) will once again conduct road improvement and maintenance works in the following areas from 10pm on March 9 to 4am on March 12.

• Aurora Boulevard (southbound), Pasay City from EDSA to Aurora Bridge;

• New Panaderos Street, Sta. Ana, Manila, from Sta. Ana Church to Lamayan St.;

• South Superhighway (southbound) from Zobel Roxas St. to Quirino Avenue;

• EDSA, Quezon City, the fifth lane (northbound) from Corregidor St. to Fema Road;

• Batasan (IBP to San Mateo Road), the first lane going to San Mateo Road;

• EDSA, Caloocan City (northbound lane going to Monumento), the second lane from the center island between G. de Jesus St. and Tirona St., and the third lane from the center island between F. Aguilar 1 St. and F. Aguilar 2 St.;

• A.H. Lacson going to Rotonda;

• P. Sanchez St., Sta. Mesa, Manila;

• R-10, Tondo, Manila (going toward Navotas Bay) between C2 and Jacinto St.;

• Reposo St., Sta. Mesa, Manila;

• P. Casal St., District III, Quiapo;

• Daang Maharlika, Muntinlupa City;

• P. Tamo Avenue between Makati Diversion Channel and EDSA (center lane);

• C-3 Road, Navotas City (westbound) North Bay Blvd. going to R-10 Road;

• Araneta Ave. from Baloy St. to Landargun St., the first lane from sidewalk;

• EDSA (northbound) going to Cubao area, the first lane from the sidewalk between Gate 3 and Gate 2 of Camp Aguinaldo;

• Aurora Boulevard (eastbound) from 15th Avenue to 20th Avenue (one lane only);

• Aurora Boulevard going to EDSA, the second lane from the sidewalk between Driod St. and C. Benitez St.;

• 15th Avenue between Ermin Garcia St. to Aurora Blvd.;

• Boni Serrano Avenue between 6TH Camarilla and 20th Avenue; and

• N. Domingo Street from Boston St. to Balete Drive.

According to the DPWH, the repair and maintenance of these national roads have been coordinated with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). For any concern, complaint, suggestion, recommendation, or observation, people are advised to call 165-02 or 536-3477 or to send a text message to the agency by typing "DPWH (your message)" and sending it to 2920.
