Guinness World Records recognizes largest loop-the-loop in a car

Beats the record by over two feet

Guinness World Records has recently released a video showing a Chinese driver claiming the record for completing the largest loop-the-loop in a car.

Using a Lotus L5 Sportback, Li Yatao of Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile successfully completed the loop that measured 42 feet and 2.69 inches in diameter. According to Guinness, the loop was made from steel and that it measured 12 feet and 0.88 inch wide and weighed 33,000kg.

The feat tops the 40-feet in diameter loop-the-loop completed in 2009 by stunt driver Steve Truglia in a Toyota Aygo for Dunlop and British motoring program Fifth Gear.
