Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) is set to open a new dealership in Tacloban City, Leyte. Owned by the Mercado Group of Companies (MGC), the Tacloban dealership is expected to be fully operational by the second half of 2013. This new dealership, which will be the fifth authorized Honda dealer in the Visayas, will offer the full lineup of Honda products and services in the Eastern Visayas region.

With a land area of approximately 2,500sqm, the Tacloban dealership will be located on Maharlika Highway in Tacloban City, Leyte. It will house a showroom as well as service facilities for preventive maintenance, general repairs, and body-and-paint repair services.

HCPI president and general manager Tatsuya Natsume and MGC general manager Kathleen Joy Mercado led the ground-breaking ceremony on February 26. Leyte provincial governor Ma. Mimietta Bagulaya and Tacloban City mayor Alfred Romualdez also graced the event.
