Hyundai Asia Resources (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the Philippines, has launched its Hyundai POP (Pride of the Philippines) Art contest as part of its advocacy to promote young, homegrown talent, and "to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of Filipino art."
For the entry, the entrant must create a digital artwork featuring any Hyundai car model and fuse with it elements drawn from Filipino tribal and popular art. The car images may be original photographs or sketches, downloaded from the Hyundai Digital Art Facebook App, or digitally rendered and manipulated or vectorized.
Submission of entries can be done either through the aforementioned Hyundai Digital Art Facebook App or via e-mail (email@example.com).
Twelve winners will be chosen with each one receiving a cash prize of P50,000 and Hyundai merchandise. The winning artwork will also get a chance to be featured in the 2013 Hyundai calendar or other Hyundai merchandise.
The deadline for submission of entries is on October 15, with the voting period to be held from October 16 to 27. According to HARI, votes from Facebook will make up 20 percent of the criteria.
