The 2019 Bangkok International Motor Show is happening soon. Now in its 40th edition, the annual event’s theme this year is “Enjoyment of Automobile.”
Why is the Bangkok show so significant, you ask? Well, it’s easily one of the biggest shows in the ASEAN region. Many of the cars on our roads are also exported from Thailand, so in a lot of cases, new models are launched in the Land of Smiles first before making their way over to the Philippines. As always, we’ll be there live to deliver the latest news and updates. This year, 33 carmakers and 14 motorcycle brands will showcase their best products.
“Looking at the automotive industry this year, the production number is estimated at no less than 2.2 million units or an increase of 4% from last year, 1 million of which will be for the domestic sales, while the remaining of 1.2 million will be for export market,” show chairman Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow says about the industry’s outlook this year.
“Visitors to the show will definitely enjoy the first-hand experience of the latest innovations packed inside the hall,” he adds.
The show opens on Tuesday, March 26. Stay tuned for our updates from the showroom floor.
