Last September 30th, the 2026 Bogey Golf Invitational took place at the Sta. Elena Golf Club. The inaugural edition of the tournament brought together key figures of the Philippine automotive industry, including brand executives, veteran journalists, and community partners for a day of camarederie and competition on the fairway.
The tournament was co-organized by our publisher and president, Carlo Chungunco of Top Gear Philippines, Joel Conrad Pedro of Overland Kings, and Spencer Yu of A&A Consulting. A total of 34 players participated, close to filling all slots permitted by the golf course.
Among the tournament participants were a number of representatives from major auto brands in the Philippines, including Isuzu, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota. They played alongside members of motoring media outlets and other community figures.

Pedro celebrated the event as proof of the Philippine automotive scene’s closely-knit community: “The 2026 Bogey Golf Invitational was a resounding success—it gave everyone a chance to unwind, build stronger relationships, and celebrate our shared passion for motoring and golf.”
At the end of the day, the honor of Overall Champion went to Paul Tanchi. Meanwhile, Jake Soriano was named Gentleman’s Division Champion, and Carolyn T. Pedro was named Ladies’ Division Champion. Skill award honors were also given out to Mikio Tsukui for driving nearest to the line, and to Justin Santos for driving nearest to the pin.
The event enjoyed a strong turnout and enthusiastic feedback. Going forward, the organizers have stated that they are now looking forward to making the Bogey Golf Invitational a “highly anticipated fixture on the automotive industry calendar,” continuing to reinforce the community’s bonds at the fairway.
