Avatr, a luxury sub-brand under Changan Auto Group, is entering the Philippine automotive market through a distributorship agreement with Autowise Ventures Inc. (AUTO iCON Group), announced through a press release today.
Avatr describes itself as a “luxury intelligent electric vehicle brand” centered around technology, design, and mobility. Its vehicles showcase a somewhat futuristic styling theme, with the shared visual language of four eye-like slits for LEDs common across its models. The brand has also collaborated with high fashion personalities like Kim Jones and Matthew M. Williams for limited-run models in China.
Its initial lineup for the Philippine market will be the Avatr 11 SUV and Avatr 12 sedan. The Avatr 11 is a luxury electric crossover SUV. Its dual-motor setup is rated for 578hp, making it capable of going from 0 to 100kph in just 3.9 seconds. On other hand, the Avatr 12 is a luxury executive sedan that will feature the brand’s ‘4D Intelligent Cockpit’ that promises to deliver a “highly immersive and connected driving experience.”

Later in 2026, the lineup will be supported with the addition of the Avatr 07 urban SUV, which will come in both all-electric (BEV) and range-extended (REEV) variants. Prices for the three upcoming models were not made available as of writing.
Changan Auto Group vice president Guan Xin commented: “The Philippine market is gaining a strong momentum in the new energy vehicle segment as buyers become increasingly aware of and (are) open to alternative mobility solutions. Avatr is here is to introduce and elevate the experience of what luxury mobility should be.”
Avatr will make its formal Philippine debut later in the third quarter of 2026, with dealership and service locations confirmed for Alabang and Bonifacio Global City.
